Here are some indications that your trees might have a disease, pest infestation, or other issues requiring immediate attention:
- Seeping fluid: Fluid seeping from the tree and pooling around the base may indicate a condition called alcoholic or slime flux. It often leaves dark streaks on the tree bark in the spring or summer.
- Pest infestation: If you believe that insects or other pests have taken over your tree and damaged it, our ISA-certified arborists can conduct a spot inspection to diagnose and treat the tree.
- Gray growth: Fungus has coexisted with trees for millions of years. However, if you notice hard, gray growth or an excessive amount of fungus, we may need to remove it to protect the tree.

We may even use specialized equipment to carefully lower pieces of the tree after they’ve been cut away, especially in tight quarters.
